CHAPTER BUSINESS

As the Tallahassee Chapter of the University of Alabama Fans and Alumni Association starts the new 2005-2006 year, it needs members in the Tallahassee area to volunteer as officers and/or committee members. CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIP UPDATE 

The recipient of the University of Alabama Tallahassee Chapter Alumni Scholarship , Ms. Lauren Hagen, began her second year at the Capstone when classes began in August. Lauren has sent us an up-date of her freshman year at the University of Alabama , which can be found on the Chapter web-site at tallytide.com.

AROUND TALLAHASSEE

On December 5, 2005, the former University of Alabama All-American, John Hannah will be the guest speaker at the Florida State University Quarterback Club meeting. John Hannah who played under Coach Paul Bear Bryant from 1970-1972, was considered the finest offensive lineman to play the game of football. He was a unanimous All-American selection in 1972, an All-SEC selection for 1971-72, a member of the University of Alabama Team of the Century, the NFL Hall of Fame and the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame.

The event will be held at the University Center Club at Doak Campbell Stadium and is open to the general public. Tickets for this event, which will include reserved tables for BAMA fans and dinner, are $40 of which $10 will go to the Tallahassee Chapter of the University of Alabama Fans and Alumni Association. Doors open at 6:00pm, with dinner at 6:30pm and the program starts at 7:00pm.
